To me, one of the most wonderful things is finding pieces of
clothing that are unique and cheap! And thrifting is the best option when you
have a tight budget. Even though you might not be able to find things that fit
well, a lot of things can be compromised when you are only paying three to
ten dollars for a piece of clothing. Trends always come back around, and that's
the most beautiful thing about thrifting, you can definitely find things that
are in style this season in its original style from the beautiful 60's that I
wish I lived in.
I am definitely no expert on thrifting, I have only been to a few
places but I want to share with you all the goodies I have found and where I
found them!
Savers
139 Endicott Street Danvers, MA
01923
(978) 777-8631
Polka dots sweater from Jones New York in Large
Denim tropical print skort from Liz Claiborne in 4
I have gotten some other things at Savers but they were more silly
things like an elmo beanie. I really like shopping at the men's section
wherever I am shopping, they tend to have good flannel shirts or denim jackets
you can cut into denim vests. I also got a maroon men's long sleeves t- shirt
that is long enough to wear with just leggings as a lazy day outfit.
Bootstraps Thrift Store
371 Cabot Street Beverly, MA 01915
(978) 927-1561
This store was actually doing a half off on everything 2 dollars and above and
their system is a fixed price on every type of clothing so I got a bunch of things under 20 dollars!
Denim hoodie from LT Modern Perspectives
I usually wear this with a grey hoodie layered underneath.
Denim collared flannel
shirt from Purrfect by Krazy Kat in S
This is probably my
favorite find ever because the colors in the flannel is beautiful and the denim
collar gives it a unique touch.
I styled this in the Outfits
post we did last weekend, check that out if you wanna see how I put it into an
outfit!
Velvet shoulder bag from Frenchy of California
The straps can be taken off and this bag can be used as a clutch!
I also styled this belt in
the Outfits post!
Silver earrings. I believe it was only a dollar!
There are more expensive things at this store, in their counter
they had a pair of Ray Bans but they were 25 dollars so I didn't get them. They
also have furniture and house ware!
Last but not least is a store named Dress Code I found randomly in
Gloucester, sorry I don't have a picture of it, but here is the address!
Dress Code
159 Main Street
Gloucester, MA, 01930
(978) 281-2888
Men's military jacket from KL 88-92 in S
These are my favorite earrings and they were only 3 dollars I
believe.
So that’s all the gems I found from thrifting this past 2 months,
I think thrifting is such a good alternative to the mass production stores like
Forever21 or H&M at the malls nowadays. Thrifting
usually means better quality as well and it’s such a fun thing to do with
friends. Try it out and comment below what your thrifting experiences are! J
